Richard is the head professional at Alsager Golf and Country Club in South Cheshire where he provides an excellent teaching service using progressive techniques, to pupils of all ages and levels, from County Players to Beginners. With 30 years golfing experience, his understanding of the wider issues relating to the coaching process including the biomechanics of the golf swing, psychology, fitness and nutrition, combined with his patient approach, make him a popular asset to the club. Richard is proud to support and be associated with The Golf Foundation and their initiative aimed at encouraging children and young adults to play golf in the belief that playing this wholesome sport helps children develop their core personal skills – honesty, respect, co-operation, perseverance, concentration and self-motivation, ultimately helping them mature into self-assured, well rounded, individuals.Richard recently helped Alsager Golf and Country Club obtain the GolfMark High Achiever Award, in recognition of the fact that the club encourages junior players and offers beginner friendly facilities.

Not only is Richard passionate about encouraging children and young adults to play golf, he is incredibly enthusiastic about encouraging and supporting more mature and senior individuals to take up the sport.
